Broke-a-Soda

Broke-a-Soda is a beverage produced in Manhottan, the second layer of Hell. It is said to be "The Poor Man's Drink."

The Drink

No one knows the recipe for Broke-a-Soda. Some say that it is just an Area Devil Ability that produces the soft drink, while others say there is an incredibly complicated recipe that would simply be too much to note down.   The recipe itself is only known in total by three people, called the "Drink Prophets." The Drink Prophets are never allowed near each other, regarded as holy in the beverage making industry. No ferry nor other form of transportation can ever have at any point in time more than one Drink Prophet.   The main flavor is said by many to taste like vanilla and cinnamon, though there are offshoot flavors of Broka-a-Soda, such as:

Analysts have found what times people are least likely to buy Broke-a-Soda. This is when 9 Layers of Flavor is released, to get more people to by Broke-a-Soda in its limited release window.

Popularity

Broke-a-Soda is the most popular drink in Hell, with the standard poor base of fans swearing by it being enough to do this. However, rich Devils are often sponsored by Broke-a-Soda, and for that, they often stay drinking it, growing to love it.

Broka Company

The Broka Company markets itself as being run by the poor for the poor. They claim to donate their money to the homeless and the disenfranchised. In Hell, where capitalism has eaten up most of the land, this has turned them into a very popular company. After all, people love to see those like them succeeding, and the large majority in Manhottan is poor.   However, the Broka Company is not actually run by the poor. They, instead, hire an actor who pretends to be the CEO, dressed in rags and often covered in dirt. A Polar Mishan who died and went to Hell.   The real CEO, however, is a Devil named Max. Max seeks the exact opposite of Broka's major message. Max wants the maximum amount of profit. There is no money that goes to helping the poor, instead all going to Max and the board members of Broka.
There are incredibly popular marketing campaigns in Hell, with advertisements everywhere in Manhottan from Broke-a-Soda. Billboards all across the city speak of slogans for Broke-a-Soda, such as:
"Have a Broke and Slime."
"For the Broke Times."
"Emotionally Bankrupt? Why not Broke instead?"
These have all lead to increased sales for Broke-a-Soda to get rid of their rivals, Ponkus. Ponkus is the only soda to rival Broke-a-Soda. For their rivalry, Broke-a-Soda calls Ponkus "Pompous" and Ponkus calls Broke-a-Soda "Broke Ass Soda."

Slime

There was a time where there was slime sold with Broke-a-Soda, as one of the above slogans shows. At one point, Ponkus nearly gained a monopoly over the soda business. Therefore, during this time, Broke-a-Cola included slime in their drinks. This poisoned some people, so Ponkus had to promise to sell some shares to Broke-a-Cola to get them to stop poisoning their loyal fans. Thanks to this, Broke-a-Cola gained an opening to regain market control of the soda industry.
