Domination Medallion

The Domination Medallion is a Mightem of the God of Demons, Chernobog, which can be used to allow a mortal to temporarily control the Avatar of a God.

Properties

Power

The Domination Medallion's power is one that can be boiled down to a simple phrase: a Mortal can command the Avatar of a God. However, semantics bog down its use.
An Avatar of a God is only the image of them that manifests within their Temples. It cannot leave the Temple, and therefore can only act there. Their power, too, is lessened due to not being in Heaven.
The definition of control, too, is loose. One can give direct orders, controlling them like a puppet master, or they can give simply a vague command and allow the God, under the control of the Medallion, to interpret it. The will of Gods is strong, so they will eventually break free.
Direct control, then, is better.

Consequences

No power comes without consequence,
and the power to control a God, even their Avatar, is far too great for even the most powerful of mortals.
After using the Domination Medallion, the heart of the mortal who uses it is said to be grabbed by Chernobog's hand. What this means, truly, is that a hand made entirely of the darkness of the Void itself wraps around the user. It will begin squeezing, and while its effects may take weeks, months, or even years eventually the heart will pop.
The heart will, then, appear instead in Chernobog's own collection, as it is said his own chest is filled with thousands of beating, mortal hearts, each empowering the Lord of Demons further.

Appearance

The Domination Medallion appears to be a simple, golden, coin-shaped disc with a black and red ribbon to hang it around the neck of the wielder. Upon closer inspection, one can see Chernobog's eye carved into one side, and on the other side, tentacles are carved that seem to move to the touch, almost as if the medallion is alive.

Chernobog

Chernobog is the God of the Demons, as well as Tyranny and Domination. He has a hatred for the other Gods and seeks to destroy them all.
Chernobog claims to wield the power of Old Gods who existed before, and claims his powers of Domination (used in the medallion) are from them.

Those that wear the medallions eyes turn red like Chernobog's, glowing with his power for a short period of time. They also find him speaking to them, convincing them if they were not already convinced that they should go control a God and wreak havoc. Few, however, are able to do so, as the Priests or nearby armies can recognize the Medallions power and have countermeasures. The Medallion, after all, only affects Gods.
In the eyes of all religious folk in Totania, whether they be a Priest or simply a follower, the Dominiation Medallion is one of the most evil relics and must be kept out of evil hands.
