Hunkaberries and Plumpins

Hunkaberries and Plumpins, two related fruits known collectively as "Plunkaberries" are large fruits that grow on the eastern coast of Elone, around the Jihdi Kingdom.

Plunkaberries

The collective Plunkaberry family of fruit, also named by Draconian scholars as the Thicinius family of berries, with each fruit having its own scientific name of:

Similarities

Each grows from a stem that then hangs at the top of the fruit, a firm stem that can be used to hold the fruit of a Hunkaberry or Plumpin.
Hunkaberries and Plumpins are both said to be the size of small children, and often when kids in the east dress in bright reds or yellows, people mistake them at a distance for walking Hunkaberries or Plumpins.
Seeds are found within the fruits that can be planted to grow more of the Plunkaberries.
The seeds themselves can be eaten, either raw, roasted, or in some other way cooked. They are also sometimes ingredients in larger dishes.
The fruits are said to be delicious, each having a savory taste, though in different senses.

Differences

Hunkaberries and Plumpins have distinct visual differences to begin with. While Hunkaberries are a vibrant yellow color, Plumpins are a darker red. Hunkaberries, while retaining the large size of Plumpins, are more cyllindrical while Plumpins are rounder, more orb-like, with ridges in the side.
Hunkaberries grow closer to the coast and around water, while Plumpins grow in hotter climates, said to ripe when the air begins to chill. This makes it perfect for the later months of a year, in the seasons of Autumn and Winter.

Taste

When it comes to taste, Hunkaberries are salty and nectarous. They give a rich juice when squeezed which can not only be simply drank as juice, but can then further be made into wine
Plumpins, on the other hand, are spicy. Often they are used to add spice to dishes that otherwise would require something gained from a farther land. Plumpins, then, serve as a natural spice of the east, with the famed Jihdi creation of Plumpin Spice, which the west then used to make things like Plumpin Spice Lattes and Plumpin Spice Cookies.

The Plump Hunk

The Plump Hunk is the story of the Ophidian who supposedly died, his body becoming the first Hunkaberries and Plumpins.
The story goes that the Plump Hunk set off from Bang Kruthiwat, where he sought a great challenge. A fight that could ne'er be rivalled in all of history.
He felt unsatisfied by the fights he had experienced before. Some say it was because he was so strong, while others say it was for his beauty and muscles that none gave him a true fight. Whatever it was, he left his home for something more.
He ultimately gained this in a battle against a Merman and a Devil on the coast.
The two joined forces against the Plump Hunk, unimpressed with his looks and his strength, they sought to tear him down a few pegs.
He was overconfident and managed to hold out only a small while before being cut to bits by the Merman and the Devil. The Merman buried the Plump Hunks yellow scales and the chunks beneath them near the coast, while the Devil spread the red parts out further so that they may not return together.
The Goddess Mayowa was said to lament the loss of the Hunk's beauty and, spurred on by Ishtar, turned his body to a fruit.
The red scales and chunks became a spicy fruit that carried the mark of the Hell, while the yellow retained the salt of the sea as well as its liquid nature. Plumpins and Hunkaberries were made from his remains so that his beauty may live on in its rich taste.
