Peargrim by Jarhed
General Peargrim is a feared
Dark Mage, known for disappearing into shadows and appearing in them again. Some wonder if he can transport into other planes of existence, and if so is that what he is doing? Or has he found a way to teleport between darkness?
No one knows the truth of Peargrim's power, but all fear it. Peargrim was in the Class of 547, a class of monsters including Chief of Evity Coldrid Saxan, The
World Court's top soldier Linfire, the unbelievably powerful Devil Laughter, and the Head Priest of the
Church of Athena Ram Rodraz. Still, he ended up in fourth place in the class. An incredible feat that earned him a terribly powerful reputation. Both a blessing and a curse for an assassin, as people now fear him, but they also know of him. More notoriety than he ever wanted.
Manpower
It is unknown how many Yellow Hornets there are. Reports say they are a small squad, but these reports are thought to be there so people do not suspect that anyone around them could actually be one of the Yellow Hornets, waiting to strike.
Weapons
The Yellow Hornets do not dress in yellow, the name itself is a misnomer meant to throw people off of their trail. In truth, their basic uniforms are black robes that keep them hidden in the shadows. They often do not wear these, as they instead wear disguises to make them blend in with the people around them.
Their weapons, however, vary. They have two sets made by the
Golden Automatons, one black to blend in with their robes, and another basic set for their disguises.
Upkeep
There is no information on how expensive it is to upkeep the Yellow Hornets, though many say they just stealing money from targets to fund their activities.
Recruitment
The Yellow Hornets are with the other Generals in the recruitment ceremony, where recruits show off their skills in front of the Generals to gain a place in a squad. What the Yellow Hornets look for is stealth skills. They ask the hopefuls to hide in the open space in front of them. If even one General there is unable to find the recruit, they are offered a position in the Yellow Hornets.
Duty
The Yellow Hornets have a duty that is incredibly secretive: the King will command them to take out high priority targets. The Prime Minister may also request targets, but the Hornets are not required to take out those targets.
Yellow Hornets also, like White Wolves, hunt targets from the World Court's high priority Most Wanted list. They do not often allign with the World Court, but they do take out big targets and they also like to cash in the money.
The Yellow Hornets are known to steal from people as well, hiding in plain sight. Elven treasuries in specific have claimed that Yellow Hornets have raided their storage vaults and treasuries. The Yellow Hornets would deny this, but they do not. They do not deny or take credit for anything. They keep secret everything they do. The only public statement that proves the existence of the Yellow Hornets is a message in the
White Wolves newspaper, Wolf Mail. Said to be a message from a General of a secret squad:
"We are ever present, we are ever watchful. Fear our presence, but know it will not cease. Our buzz is only heard as a precursor to Hell."
The Maevell Dynasty
The Yellow Hornets participated in the
Grand Crowning, with Peargrim being the one to kill King Lorvyn and begin the Dwarven Civil War. Unaware of the other nations, Peargrim and his forces sided with the White Wolves. He did not want to form his own nation, and already had a strong relationship with the White Wolves.
So they support their Maevell Dynasty, as they also find it to have legitemacy. The Yellow Hornets are the greatest military force of the Maevell Dynasty, better than the White Wolves themselves at least. Many wonder if Peargrim himself has an ulterior motive in this war, or whether he truly believes in Melmin's cause.
