The Undead Dragon Lord

When the Goddess Helle first made her children, the very first creatures to inhabit the world of Totania after Kath the Eternal himself, she made only one of each color: the Dragon Lords. Of this group, none have faltered in their rank, and all have remained consistent, living for millenia and growing ever powerful.

There was one, however, that she did not create. One Dragon Lord that hatched as a normal Dragon. This was the Green Dragon known as Yrdot the Youngling: the Vampire Dragon Lord.

The First Spawn

Wolfram von Errst is a figure that is obscured from the history books. His name is only ever uttered in legend, for he never allows those that cross his path to live, and if anyone does survive encounters with him, it is as his thrall.
This was true, as well, for the young Dragon hatchling that landed on his island, long before mortals ever lived on the Abral Islands archipelago. Yrdot the Youngling was naive, and had never seen a creature like Wolfram. As a matter of fact, there would not be another human on Totania for thousands of years after their meeting. So Yrdot was not a fool for believing that he was stronger than Wolfram von Errst.
He was, however, gravely mistaken.
Wolfram von Errst was a Vampire, the very first of his kind, and the first Great Vampire Lord. His might was unmatchable, and he subdued Yrdot quickly, draining him of his blood and preparing to feast.
However, Yrdot pleaded and begged for his life and Wolfram, ever curious and ever power hungry, decided he could use the Dragon, and so he did not kill Yrdot, but instead turned him into his spawn. A vampire that was subservient to him.
Over time, it is said that Yrdot's power grew thanks to his vampiric powers and the care of his master, Wolfram von Errst.

Draconic Sightings

Yrdot does not interact with mortals for any reason other than to hunt them. He has only ever been spotted in the distance, upon the abandoned island, flying in or out of a forest that no man has ever survived a journey within.
The only reason anyone is aware of Yrdot's vampirism is as follows:

1. Yrdot is only ever seen at night, soaring over the island.


2. Yrdot's other Dragon Lords have called him vampire, though Jarrur, Lord of Dark, believes this title is only symbolic of how Yrdot leeches off of their fame to scare people away.


3. Yrdot's mouth, the few times it has opened in view of outsiders, has shown fangs that are uncharacteristic of a Dragon. Two sharp fangs at the front of his teeth.

The False Dragon Lord

All other Dragon Lords (of which there are seven) reject Yrdot's status as one of them. They are meant to be the strongest and greatest of their scale color, and there is already a green Dragon Lord: Fraeton the Usurper. The others are:

• Zome, Lord of Red
• Reoma the Wretched
• Inrilyth the Hushed
• Meghorranth the Cunning
• Jarrur, Lord of Dark
• Nammat the Unseen

Zome is the only one that seems not to care, for he does not acknowledge any of his siblings as rivaling him. The others scoff at the idea that someone could be elevated to their status. They were born as Dragon Lords, and even in death they will remain as Dragon Lords. To think, a young hatchling could attempt to surpass them through mortal magic and trickery...
Still, all records of Yrdot, of which there are few, claim him to be of equal power to the Dragon Lords. One can never know, as to face a Dragon Lord is to court death, and death is all too common when facing the undead.
