Herald Gerald and Champion Flidais
Herald Gerald with quite weak Gifts (but just a tiny bit of everything), except for Truth Sense, this is ALWAYS active except for when he consciously blocks it out. He compensates for his weak mind magic by training almost continuously in riding, combat and reading the Laws of the land. As a result of his continuous studying, he is quite socially awkward, although he does manage to comport himself decently at Court (mostly by keeping quiet). His Companion, Flidais, is one of the fastest currently around and can act as a "booster" for Gerald's gifts when they're in physical contact, bringing them up to a "low-average" level. Flidais has VERY strong mind-speech and can reach about halfway across the Kingdom.
