Disen
"She is so beautiful. So elegant. So cold. Cross her and her gaze might as well freeze you!"
Disen are people that have been changed during Wotan's Call into something different altogether. Their body transformed and they gained powers that were previously unheard of. It seems to be random, who changed during Wotan's Call. However, one specific side-effect of being a Disen is the aura of unfathomable beauty surrounding them - and every person turning into a Disen had been considered good looking before already.
Physical Changes
A DIsen is typically as tall as a normal Mannen, only slimmer and both male and female have thin, long, hair, often a very pale blond or of a shimmering, reddish-bronze tone. Cutting the hair of a Disen seems to have no lasting effect, within days it will regain its normal length. The skin of all Disen is very pale, almost white and seems to be perfectly smooth. No scar, no defect can be found. The eyes are slightly clouded and usually of a darker color, auburn, dark blue, or even black.
Character
Typically for a Disen is a very melancholic and quiet demeanor with a tendency to reclusiveness. Even the more sociable Disen tend to only interact with at most two other people on a regular basis and they rarely open up by themselves. They are, however, very understanding and patient of other people's needs and demonstrate a high level of empathy.
Furthermore, they seem to have gained a higher level of spirituality and a deeper curiosity for the world of the spirits and the element of death and grief. Most Disen demonstrate a desire to understand and help grief as well as teach about the memory of those passed. Others seem to show interest in the weavings of fate and the passage of time.
Abilities
A Disen often has the ability to charm or calm people around them with a skilled modulation of their voice. A powerful Disen can even sway the opinion of a larger group with relative ease. It is rumored this could even go as far as forcing people into some kind of submission, even though this seems to go against the general nature of most Disen.
Another ability many Disen demonstrate is to look beyond the veil of our world. Some of them seem to be able to contact the world beyond life, where others seem to be able to see glimpses of the future or truths of past and present, that should be impossible to be known. There have been Disen that claimed to have reached into the beyond and were able to bring something back.
One of the more mundane, but highly useful abilities is the resitance to cold, most Disen have. Not only can they stand being exposed to cold longer, but the also seem to radiate an aura of frost around them, depriving the rooms around them of some warmth. As a trade off, they seem to be more vulnerable to fire.
