Some people just don't have a home. Some are destined to never find one - and others are even cursed to lose their home whenever they try to settle. Just like the Jadira.
The Jadira are a clan of
Chauken that are forced live as a nomdaic tribe for several generations. They have tried to settle down in a fixed place for sveral times, only to be again displaced by various circumstances. Last they lived on a large hillside at the sea - until the lightning storms arrived and reduced the hill into a bay surrounded by continously strucken cliffs - the
Donnercliffs. Ever since, the bay is caled
Jadirbay.
Today, the clan is split into several smaller families travelling across their lands. Despite being apart from each other, they recognize themselves easily by clan insignia on their typical modes of transportation, the Jadivarn. Those sheds on wheels, drawn by oxen have become synonymus with this travelling clan. They survive by trading and doing odd jobs wherever they arrive.
Jadira have no specific features distinguishing them from other Chauken. During
Wotan's Call however, none of the Jadira was turned into a Hamwesen - a coincidence that makes many people speculate the Jadira do not have the favor of any of the gods. It is rumored that Jadira all have some hidden mark, branding them as cursed by the gods.
Additionally, Jadira are unable to settle down anywhere. Not only are they met with suspicion where they stay for long, but bad luck seems to happen to them and the places they stay for too long - making them move away as fast as possible. Eithe rby their own decision or strongly encouraged from the inhabitants of their current place.
