Spreknar

The Spreknar - roughly translated "Those who speak" - are the messengers of the gods. Since the dawn of mankind, there always have been people how were able to receive the words and signs from the gods. This could be through visions, dreams or by recognizing the signs around them. In rare cases a god can speak directly through them, posessing them to act as their hands and voice.
