The Elturian Prophecy

A single, important Prophecy guides the cyclical events that are destined to occur in Traeon for eternity. In the Current Era, this prophecy was spoken by the High Elf Elthanas Turian, the First Prophet of the Elves, a few years after the The Breaking of the World.

What follows is the Elturian Prophecy, as recorded in the collective memory of the High Elves. "The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy when the World and Time themselves hang in the balance, a wind will rise in the Mountains of Sorrow. It will blow west, carrying the deathly stench of the Black Land, a herald of what is to come.

When a miriad blue suns burn in the midnight sky, the imprisoned shall be set free, born again to serve their master. As the last of the true queens die, the ancient serpents will fly to their master's call, sealing the fate of the world. People of the Light beware, for the rivers will run dry under a sunless sky. Stand together, for the black plague will march forth to end the time of man. As the eternal dream is broken, so shall be the prison that holds the destroyer of worlds."
