Definition
The Weave is a form of energy produced by the Foundation (see
Fundamental Energy ) after it was modified by the
Aes Volari in 1573BB.
- Weave energy is created via the Foundation by harmonizing Saidin and Saidar.
- Weave energy is created on demand, i.e. whenever a spellcaster or magical effect requires it.
- Weave is energy that powers the most common spells and spell effects in the Realms.
- Weave energy is accessible to anyone that knows how. This follows standard DND conventions.
- Weave energy was created by the Aes Volari so that spellcasting would be more accessible to mortals throughout Creation.
- Weave energy is noticeably weaker than Saidin/Saidar and the spells it powers are also weaker.
- Weave energy production also produces amounts of degraded Fundamental Energy , causing structural damage to creation over time.
