Utility

Dandelions would often be carried on a Trapper's person at all times. This botanical herb has a valuable property in which it can nullify the scent on the wearer; making it more difficult for beasts or spirits to track.
This does not mean it will completely remove detection of the individual, but rather prevent peripheral senses like smells from being picked up. As there are other methods one can still be tracked by.
Trappers would often sew a dried dandelion into their jacket or hat, between pages of books, or simply bury it in their pockets.
A single stem is enough to hide the musk of a person, lasting a week before losing its potency. But many would forage or purchase bundles of them to ensure the most effective results. Alternatively, using garlic would help amplify the potency of dandelions.

Luckily, dandelions are one of the most common herbs to be located around the world.
The only difference in wildly grown dandelions compared to picked dandelions is the nullifying effects don't activate until they are removed from the soil. Once picked, the effects will wear off in around a few days.
Most botanists and flower shops will have a ready supply of dandelions in stock. Coming in a variety of forms such as crushed, pressed, aged, and raw. To make for easier travelling, the herb is often pressed flat by heavy weights or between pages of a book to prevent it from breaking apart. Dandelions are also pressed to allow for lasting effects, extending their expiry from a few days to a week. Accompanied by garlic, can make a single pressed dandelion last almost a fortnight.
The only drawback is that dandelions become hard to maintain and find during cold seasons, driving up demand.
