History
The Wicked Circus is a notorious travelling entertainment company run by hundreds of nomadic entertainers: Freakshows, Trapeze artists, Clowns, Magicians, Showmen, and Carnies. The circus began in 1860 by Confictus Squell, a philanthropist who decided to invest his wealth into the world of entertainment. Though a rocky start at first with the US Civil War affecting travelling, the decision to expand west proved fruitful. Many people need a good smile and laugh to distract them from the hardships of an untamed land. And what better way than bright and colourful performances provided. As the years progressed, so too did the Wicked Circus, along with many new attractions. One of which is the now highly demanded House of Horrors. The attraction often exhibits exotic species of beasts they have captured and trained for the viewing audience. Herr Hechler's House of Horrors is run by former German trapper Warren Hechler. After serving his prison sentence for Faun Poaching, Hechler found work with the Wicked Circus as a tender to circus performing animals. To increase the extravagant vision of the circus, Squell had the bizarre and slightly idiotic idea of replacing common animals with the unique monstrous fauna of the land. Using Hechler's prior connections to poaching, the circus was able to source and house various monstrous creatures. Customers would flock to the temporary encampment of the circus just to view the true dangers they wish to never meet in the wild. And the circus would flock away before any law enforcement tries to shut them down for illegal possession of monstrous fauna.Pictured Above: Portrait of Warren Hechler.
