Michal Verbeski

Very little is known about the author of the popular children's book series "The Adventures of Hebert", yet he is one of the galaxy's most beloved children's authors. With relatable and funny characters, interesting plots, challenging words, and familiar adventures, Verbeski is regarded as a wonderful author.
And they all walked away to go eat grass while Hebert enjoyed his peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. When he was done, he walked into the pond to get a nice drink.
— From "Hebert Fixes the Watering Hole"

History

Although very little is widely known about Mr. Verbeski, various articles have been written about him. Michal was born in 944 APC on Laval, where he spent his childhood. After graduating from high school, he moved to Jere for a degree in environmental engineering. He was accepted into a materials company just out of university and met his future wife, Niore, through a friend. The two got married several years after meeting and would go on to have several children.

One of Michal's favorite ways to spend time with his children was telling them bedtime stories. One of his longest-running stories was about an elephant named Hebert who loved peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. His oldest daughter loved them too. As time went on, Michal would tell these stories whenever his family went on vacation and were all in one room. He added characters from shows, movies, and books that he enjoyed, and would incorporate challenges he knew were interesting, such as going to laser tag and building a playground.
A few years after his oldest child was in university, he decided to write down some of his best stories, recorded by his children so they could listen when he wasn't there. After removing the more obvious references to other media, he found a children's publisher and published his first story: Hebert's First Friends, about a young elephant who met two siblings and fell in love with the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches they had for lunch.
His first story was wildly popular. While some children were confused with the occasional challenging words, parents explained them and the kids became even more interested. Surprised by his success, Michal began to release more of his stories, making sure to keep any and all references to his family vague and unimportant.
It was a beautiful day. Hebert woke up and went: "Ah, what am I going to do today? I don't know. I'll do my normal routine first..."
— Hebert at the Water Park
Currently, Michal has published sixteen Hebert stories and has announced at least three more in the works. He, his wife, and several of their children live on Eremeni near Laval. His oldest daughter lives on Jere with a degree in library archiving and his oldest son works on Geranium as a landscaper.
