Worldbuilding Awards Submissions
Hello everyone! Thank you to everyone interested enough to check this article out, I hope at least one of the entries catches your eye. I'm going to be taking a hiatus from World Anvil for the next week and won't have any chance to promote or update until then, so I'm kind of rushing to get this done by tonight.
I only submitted to five categories because I didn't have the best content to submit to the others and wanted my best to be showcased. I only chose articles I wrote this past year, which include one I finished in February. Without further ado, below are the articles I submitted!
Thank you for taking the time to check out my submissions, maybe give them a read, and hopefully give some helpful feedback! Have a great week, a Happy Easter if you celebrate it, and I'll see you in April!
For Wondrous Nature: Crestantos
This article was the first species article I ever published on World Anvil. I wrote it for Summer Camp this year and had so much fun writing about their appearance, culture, and growth stages. A small word of warning: there are a lot of words and text blocks! I tried to balance it out, but I was so excited to write about them that I wrote lots of details. For Pillars of Progress: Lannon Batteries
It took me a long time to finish this article, but I'm happy with how it came out. Lannon Batteries are one of the galaxy's most widespread resources and are used for almost everything. I wasn't able to make the sidebar line up with the main text body and it's very frustrating, but I just don't know what to put there. For Strength & Honor: House Calleron
According to the metadata of this article, I wrote it in one day, which is kind of impressive. House Calleron was the ruling family of one of the most important countries in Jerde. The organization is currently believed disbanded/dead after a tragic event killed the king and queen. I'm proudest of the crest, which I created myself instead of asking my friend for help. For Myths & Legends: Conri
I wrote this article alongside another during WorldEmber, but it still came out amazing. I really should do more character articles, it's always incredibly easy to write them. Conri is one of the mysterious and mythical Celestials. He appears in the story during a significant arc, so I had to be careful with certain things I wrote. For Best Worldbuilding Article: Overview of Magic
For an article with over 5,000 words, Overview of Magic was surprisingly easy to write. I had been struggling to figure out how to write this article even though I desperately wanted to, but inspiration struck one day and so I wrote it as if it was a lecture being given on the topic. I probably could have used the Natural Law template and only used the vignette section, but I chose to use the generic article template. This article is probably my favorite from this year. I put so much effort into it, even designing slideshow sections to use as images, and I really hope that it is enjoyable to read and easy to understand. I plan to connect specific magic articles to it in May as well as write an article on Eternals in a similar lecture format.
Thank you for taking the time to check out my submissions, maybe give them a read, and hopefully give some helpful feedback! Have a great week, a Happy Easter if you celebrate it, and I'll see you in April!
