#55: Library Cards

"Forbidden knowledge tastes the best."
Three hundred years ago, the world has been plunged into darkness and everything that has remained from once grand and illustrious civilisation of mankind is now only accessible through books hidden in underground libraries scattered in tunnels all over the world.   You are now holding the your first library card. It is not only a key into unlocking a specific archive, but they can also serve as somewhat tarot magical tokens capable of unlocking more than just doors. What lost knowledge will you uncover? Which secret will you leave buried to rot away and be completely forgotten? And most importantly, will you ever find your way out? What does out even mean?   What will the new civilisation look like, according to your imagination (and cool magical abilities you'll be able to learn along the way)?

Listen I really want to have a TTRPG setting (probably using FATE) if not a game on its own focused on librarians, because being one is hella cool I can already tell you, and it will definitely be the most self-indulgent thing I'll ever do. This is just an initial braindump, but that's how all my articles start out. Ideas, prompts and art suggestions are welcome!
