Starbrow's Ascension

An annoucement made in Laicosto after several days of tremors and strange lights caused disquiet amongst the residents of the town and surrounding area. Variations of this were shared with the other elven lands as the new Church of the Starbrow began to spread it's influence.

Good people of the forest I come before today with news both sad and joyous, terrible yet wonderful. The strange sights and tremors over recent days cannot have escaped your notice. I'm sure many of you felt scared and worried and I must confess that I also shared your fear. And we were right to be concerned as momentous events were occuring right here in Laicosto.
Before i continue further let me first put your minds at ease. The events which caused so much disruption in our fair town are now at end. There will be no further shaking, and the only lights will be those we make ourselves. A inspection of buildings has been started to ensure there has been no damage, and work has already started to heal the trees affected by the tremors.
I must now move on to news that I am sure will sadden many of you. The great hero and protector of our lands, Miluril Starbrow, has moved on this from existence. I know this will come as a huge shock for you as he has been protecting us for so many centuries. With his indomitable will he was even able to stave off death in order to keep protecting us, but his life here has ended at last. The strange events we experienced over the last few days were a result of his leaving this existence behind. But do not fall to grief and sorrow for this was not the truly momentous news of which i spoke.
Our saviour has not perished. Yes he is no longer with us is in physical form, but this is because he has achieved the impossible. He has gone beyond being a mere mortal acting to save his people with his unparalleled magics. He has gone beyond what any of us would have even considered as feasible. The Lord Starbrow has ascended to the ranks of the divine, and he has gone to bring his judgement on those beings who once claimed to protect us, to bring them under control and remind them of their responsibilities.
Under the sign of the Star he rises to claim his rightful place as the leader of the divine. If you've ever wished you could help our saviour then now is the time. Your voices and prayers will carry him to new heights, enabling him to protect us more fully from the dark forces of the world. Set aside your fears and join me now in prayer to our new deity, the true protector of our lives and souls, the rightful leader of the Ilma Olie, The Starbrow.

While many who heard this annourcement were excited by the idea of Miluril becoming a deity, there were those who were worried. Clerics of the other deities of the Ilma Olie saw that this could cause problems for both their deities and the worshippers, and there was no explanation of ho Miluril had achieved this unprecedented feat.
