"Tegrens are brutal, savage beings with stupendous fantasies of conquest." - Early Confederate Colonist

Basic Information

Anatomy

Tegrens are dull-mint green skinned sentient reptiles. They have yellow-green eyes with an orange ring around the pupil. They are human like in appearance in that they are bipedal with 2 legs, 2 arms, and a defined body section and head, however they have 3 fingers on each hand and 3 toes on each foot. They have more of a hunch in their back than humans. Their ears do not extrude from the head, and instead are holes placed on bumps facing forwards. Their nose is more flat and the nostrils are more slit-like.

History

Tegrens evolved from reptiles on Trepis, early after CE-005 had established enough biological material and life to sustain life reasonably on Trepis.   In the medieval frontier era on Trepis, the Tegrens banded together to try to exterminate the Volks. The "First End War", saw the entire populated portion of Trepis at war. The Tegrens build large castles, called "Gehtedas" to serve as bases for weaponry and territorial protection. Their war on the generally non-united Volks took them by surprise, and was largely successful. The Volks turned to the newly arrived Humans for help. With the help of humans, the war with the Tegrens ultimately ended in their demise as a powerful species on Trepis.   Following the war, the Tegrens' took a back-seat in politics. In the next global conflict, the "Second End War", the now scattered Tegrens joined either side as the Volks fought the Humans. After that war, the Tegren population was so low they were considered rare, and only lived in isolated communities.
