Fishfolk

While there are many different kinds of amphibious creatures on Trutina that can be considered sentient, only a few are advanced enough to create a civilization. All of these species are described as 'fishfolk' or 'fish people'. Besides the obvious, aquatic features, such as gills, scales and fins, fishfolk often possess other features, such as resistance to cold, or excellent sight.

Triton

The best known of the fishfolk, these people resemble humanoid fish with varying degrees of other human attributes, such as a human face and in rare cases, even hair. On average, they are shorter than humans and most often look like humans with blue skin and green hair, however, they have webbed hands and feet as well as fins on their appendages. 
Tritons are mostly known by sailors and those who live near the sea, where the Tritons live. They inhabit the Elven Seas and often help those who are attacked by sea creatures and are doomed to drown in the middle of the ocean.
Because Tritons rarely stay long enough to chat, little is known about their society, but they often refer to a hierarch that rules over them, but the hierarch's nature or identity remains a mystery.
