Varmer

Varmer is Waihohn's leading supplier of firearms and firearm accessories. Varmer is headquartered in Ophrel, Stabherland where they mine the majority of their sprejgazalts and manufacture the firearms that use them. The company produces an array of guns and ammunition, specifically designed to utilize sprejgazalts as their combustible. The weapons they produce are as high quality as these sorts of thing can be. They misfire on occasion but much less than many other weapons using black powder.       Varmer's reputation is a strange on in its home country of Stabherland. The public dislike of war and violence is a culturally unifying trait amongst the nation of refugees and so an arms company is a touchy one to run. On the other hand, most people in Stabherland carry arms for self protection and the economic benefit that Varmer has head is measurably good for the country.  The trouble most Stabhish folk have with Varmer is its dealings with foreign militaries. The average Stabhish person does not like the idea of selling deadly, modern weapons to the militaries of other nations, nearly none of which they trust. Varmer does no business with Aulette or New Vandelle directly, but with Boscom as the middleman, Varmer arms have been used by the Aulan military. This does not sit well with the anti-Aulan citizens of Stabherland but many see it as a 'necessary evil' for the economic growth of Stabherland. Regardless, Varmer is far from uncontroversial, but that is often the lot in life for those selling things that kill.      Varmer has a near monopoly in Waihohn for firearms as no black powder is made there and Varmer control the supply of sprejgazalts. Whether your firearm is made by Varmer or not, if it runs on sprejgazalts, you still need to buy those from Varmer.
