A crafty Throne of Malkuth. As the sephirot closest to Earth, the Ishim are the most human of all their brethren. This applies fully to Adriel, who looks remarkably like an ordinary woman, albeit a tall and statuesque example. Only the fires of heaven present in her aura and the holy candelabra she bears lend any hint to her angelic origin. As among the least powerful of her sephirot to have cast off her Qlippoth and attained individuality, Adriel is the first chosen—often alongside her sister, Ariel—to seek out and aid humans who have direct dealings with the heavenly realm.
Although her demeanor may seem icy and condescending the majority of the time, Adriel does possess a mischievous streak which surfaces in inopportune pranks and unforeseen comments. Her skills are likewise based in underhanded manipulation and skullduggery. This may seem unsuited for an angel, but perhaps it is Adriel's very proximity to humans as an Ishim which allows her to indulge in these activities. It also casts Adriel as a fine partner to her sister, whose focus lies more in direct action.
The candelabra Adriel carries with her bears three sacred flames, one for each of the Trinity. Its purpose is to guide humans, but it can also deceive, guiding the unwitting off their path like a will-o'-wisp. By association, Adriel holds some mastery over fire and flame magic. This amounts to mere tricks, however, in comparison to the power wielded by angels of higher ranks and other sephirot.
