Curse Doll
呪い人形
A simple paper shikigami doll of the type used by onmyōji for summoning rituals. The unpleasant purple coloration was imbued into this specimen when it was used to siphon off the accumulated bad luck from Hashinara general Maxim. Now, all misfortune that would normally affect him is instead accumulated in this proxy. A useful item to have, especially for someone plagued by a Binbōgami, but should the doll ever be destroyed the resultant feedback of bad luck would be devastating to Maxim. Even now, the aura of misfortune is so strong that bare skin contact with the doll is enough to invoke misfortune. As such, it is important to wear protection whenever handling it.
Catastrophic Bad Luck: Any creature which touches the Curse Doll with its bare skin is subject to Catastrophic Bad Luck for as long as such contact is maintained. This is an advanced form of the Bad Luck disadvantage which may not be mitigated by any means short of a deity's blessing. While under the effects of this condition, the affected creature is considered to have a fumble range of 1 to 49. That is, regardless of any advantages or mastery, any rolls between 1 and 49 are considered to be a fumble.
