High Priest Hazutani Sengyo (a.k.a. 筈谷 占魚)

Summary:

A tall man of sallow countenance and reserved demeanor. Those that meet Hazutani Sengyo are struck by the strange sense that they can see the moon reflected in his eyes at any time of the day. Though he was raised in a samurai family, Sengyo was sickly from birth, and so could not participate in training the same way his brothers and sisters did. In order to make up for this, he focused instead on training his mind and developing control of the battlefield.
At the age of twenty, Sengyo had the pleasant surprise of discovering that he was possessed of latent psychic powers. Though limited in their scope, he developed his matrices to the point where he could easily manipulate light and enhance his own senses. Weaving these talents into his combat style, Sengyo developed what he calls the "Black Bowstring": A technique by which he removes all light from the battlefield and then uses his preternatural senses to pick of his helpless and blind foes.
This focus on control and manipulation of circumstances replaced any desire Sengyo might have had to become physically powerful. Instead, he trended to the ascetic, eventually finding himself in the service of Tsukuyomi as one of the moon god's earthly priests.
