Summary

A Tsukumogami yōkai formed from a pair of sandals that reached a truly advanced level of age and wear. Kararin exemplifies the traits of footwear in that she is particularly good at running. So good, in fact, that few obstacles will bar her from running to, or from, whatever happens to be stuck in her mind at the moment. A bit simple, and a bit cowardly, she is particularly afraid of dogs, who used to chew on her when she was still an inanimate object.
Kararin was found in Himeji Castle running from a room full of scary umbrellas. She didn't join the Hashinara so much as she simply got swept up in matters and ended up with a new home and master, now serving Hashinara Yoshitakatomo.
As an animate, anthropomorphic pair of sandals, she doesn't really have any hobbies, but is never averse to learning something new when she stops long enough to consider it.
