Summary

A gentle soul who currently marks the youngest member of the Mōri family. As the daughter of one of the three famed arrows, Kikkawa Motoharu, and granddaughter of the clan Daimyō, Kikkawa Motoyo had high expectations placed on her since childhood. It quickly became apparent that she simply did not have the demeanor or drive to compete with the other great generals in her clan, however. This difference was most apparent when compared to her sister, Kikkawa Hiroie, who seemed to have inherited all of her ancestors' brutal edge, leaving none left for Motoyo.
Understanding her own nature better than most, Motoyo instead focused on cultivating a magical talent; not for battle, but for entertainment. She puts her skills with illusion magic toward tricks and delights for those more serious onizamurai around her. While her mother, Motoharu, is not entirely pleased with this path, it's no secret that Mōri Motonari approves, viewing entertainment and relaxation as a key aspect of a well-rounded soldier's life, and so Motoyo is left to her own path.
