Martial Arts and Weapons

As per interpretation of the rules in Dominus Exxett, Martial Arts can be used to an extent with weapons, so long as the combination fits thematically. The section of rules in question offers some suggestions regarding which weapons fit which styles, but not any hard rules. This document's purpose is to translate those suggestions to Tsuwamono with the weapons commonly used therein and restrict use of martial arts to weapons that fit logically and thematically.   Weapons outside of those dictated in the below chart gain no benefit from the associated martial art's abilities, although class bonuses to attack and defense from each art still apply regardless of weapon used.   For weapons which are "one- or two-handed," the respective martial art's effects may only be applied when wielded in one or two hands as appropriate. When wielding a weapon in two hands, the character cannot also benefit from martial arts requiring a shield (such as a buckler).   Submit any suggestions for weapons or styles not already on this list to the Bear directly.
