Summary
Great, winged, rubbery creatures native to The Abyss in the Dreamlands. Night-gaunts serve Nodens, lord of that realm, and deliver unto him the dreaming souls of mortals with whom he wishes to speak. Armed with supernatural swiftness and razor-sharp talons, these monstrous shades also serve as the god's foot soldiers in his eternal war with The Faceless God who dwells on the Moon of the Dreamlands. Night-gaunts are, in truth, formed of pure darkness and given life by Nodens' divine hands. They are made faceless in a mockery of the Faceless God's name, and possess the coveted ability to move freely between Earth and the Dreamlands.
