Turian's World is mine.
It will be as I see fit. Unfair and fair, black and white, realistic and fanciful. Most of all, in my head it is a world in the tradition of the "sword and planet" genre.
Maybe you have a suggestion? I'm all ears.
Some things will never be part of it: political correctness, speech control and things like those. Except of course as part of Turian's story.
Do you want an extremely racist state? A country where males or females are considered property? There might be a place in Turian.
I want it to feel "fantasy realistic". Turian is not a utopia, it is full of various morals, goals, war, people etc. but most of all it is a place for heroes.
There will be things I shall borough or right out "steal" and of course, there will be things I use inspiration for inspiration.
I will likely give credit - if I realize credit is due.
The things you will read here do not take reality into account. Technology, Magic and Science will be weird, as will many other things.
Massive inspiration coming from Philp Jose Farmer, Kenneth Bulmer (Alan Burt Akers), J.R.R. Tolkien, Piers Anthony, Anne McCaffrey and many other authors whom I ow for many hours of my life.
Things are inspired by people, but I was so inspired by some of what they did, wrote or imagined that I cite their work, verbatim or rephrased.
- Kairomaru, an author of fanfiction stories, has given me consent to use quite some of his outstanding descriptions and concepts of alchemical processes, materials and his ideas for enchanting.
Also I would like to expressly state that the RPGs I played are a massive inspiration, obviously.
Das Schwarze Auge (DSA/TDE) and Myranor, D&D 5e, D&D BECMI Mystara, Shadowrun, Role- and SpaceMaster as well as some others.
