Clasification of Species

The academic world of Turian has tried forever to unify terminology, ranks titles and, as expected, has failed to do so.
There are some things the wise agree upon, however. One of those is that life on Turian did not just come about. Many peoples have legends of crossing over to Turian, of their ancestors being brought here by the gods or a god and many more such legends and myths.

With such widespread consistency within the various creation myths it has become common to classify species in the following categories, even if those are not necessarily part of the scientific name.

• Settled species - that includes all species that seem to have origins outside of Turian.
• Artificial species - all species that are not of natural origins, but rather are of either magical or another, obscure but artificial origin. Chimaeras, hybrids and many others fall into this classification.
• Sure species - are those who have, supposedly, not been tampered with.
• Indigenous species - are all those that seem to be native to Turian. Either they were created here or came into existence, on Turian, in some other way.

Even though races origins are a very interesting topic for discussion, in the day to day life of people such is of minor concern.
