Flawless Rituals

The first component of a ritual is the incantation in speech, song or whatever. The second component of a ritual and also a spell is some form of symbols, in a ritual, it is circles, penta-, hexa-, hepta-, and octagrams. Sometimes runes, other symbols and so forth. The last component of a ritual is a material component. Most often in the form of a sacrifice, a consumable resource.
