Honourable Society of Societies
"We can be delighted that such an unholy union could never happen. In all honesty, the thought of a bunch of criminals working together worldwide frightens me. Think what they could and would do! An organisation with no interest in the good of the people! No, those commoners could and would never be like the nobility, us who are raised to put the needs of the peasants before our own. Such a union would be known about fairly quickly, as they would ruin villages, regions and realms rapidly."
Statement by his Lordship Folnor di Montazzi
"The Honourable Society of Societies may or may not exist. I certainly never talk about such a thing and know nothing about it."
Mydrawyn Sasa a young Rogue in a conversation.
"...Well, as long as the Guild handles it, the citizens here are quite safe... "
Talk at the weekly market
"Dare I remind your Lordship, that the planned increase of the harbour fee will surely make our shores less attractive for the tradesmen?
This will result in fewer ships unloading here, which in turn will decrease the profits of the inns, will mean less cargo for our waggoners and less trade overall.
That of course will reduce the taxes you, Mylord, will be able to collect from all that.
Might I suggest rethinking this increased harbour tax? Instead, I suggest you lower that specific fee ever so slightly?"
As heard on a council meeting of his Lordship Folnor di Montazzi
