This application of magic is the generally used term for the use of spells in a "cold and unemotional" way. Almost all magical traditions know some sorcery but fields like elementarism, enchantment and also pioneering are best known.

Emotional upheaval and uncontrolled emotions will make casting such magics much harder and the effects less powerful.
