The Stone in the Forest

This myth is found all over Turian's World in various cultures.
Interestingly it even exists in dessert or Prairie environments. Adjusted for the environment obviously but still, it is always a stone and the locals avoid going near it.

The stone is said to have mysterious powers, the local folk does not know what it does but it has been there for as long as people lived here.

Summary

The story runs along similar lines wherever it is found.

"There is a stone in the forest, deep in its centre, a pillar of polished stone a monolith several strides in hight and with a pointed tip. When you come near it you can feel its power, taking your breath away, making you feel small and lying a weight on your shoulders. It is almost as if the stone knows who you are, as if it weightens your soul and you know you are found wanting..."
