The Trader's League

Retailers, Kaemers, grocers, chandlers, travelling traders, all those who buy and sell but do not, normally, produce their wares. They are all traders. Because of much trade crossing is borders of counties and countries often oceans the traders have started millennia ago to agree on certain terms and conditions, to adhere to a codex of rules, regulations and behaviours.

To enforce this any trader whose business is not strictly local will join a Traders Guild as an oathbound member. This Traders Guild is in turn a member of the Traders League.
