A Food Charity
*Knock knock*
"Hello?"
"Hi, we've heard you've been sick and unable to go to make food for yourself. We alse heard that you're not contagous anymore, so we've been allowed to come and give you food."
"Yes, um, who are you?"
"We're part of the Salivation Corps - a charity focused on giving food to those in need."
"I think you mean Salvation Corps."
The Salivation Corps
They are a charity that focuses on giving food to those in need. For example, people who are sick, who've just been laid off work, pregnant or just had a baby, really old, disabled, someone whose left home for the first time, when a family member dies, and a bunch of other reasons could be why someone from the Salivation Corps may come knocking on your door with food. They have a large unit at the University, as there are many students who have either just left home for the first time, or need a bit of nutrirional help during exam and thesis times. The corps also runs a 'How to Cook' workshop series at the start of each semester. They also have a delegate in each boarding house to help out people with cooking, as well as report to the Corps about those in need. I'm told they have similar at nursing homes as well.
