Fairy Magic
The colour attributed to fairies is orange. When their raw magic is condensed (as is the case with the 'Council's Elevator') it is orange. Outside of that, colour is not really seen in their magic.
Fairy magic is attributed through the air. Wind, tornadoes, lightning, storms, clouds, electrons and electricity are their main magic things. These then include telepathy, teleportation and portal openings. Among other things.
Their magic can be invisible or coloured (depending on the air particles used - different to the condensed colour as previously mentioned).
As Fairies tend to live in one area, in close proximity with each other, they all learn to use magic from a young age and relatively the same way.
They can also identify a person race based on their racial magic, and the particular flow it takes within a person. How do they sense this? Basically, they touch the other's magic with their own, through the electrons in the air. So their sense of 'magic touch' allows them to identify the race of a person (each race has a significantly different 'feel' like a magical texture and then within the textures of each person is a certain 'flow' of magic. Especially in elves, mermaids and naiads. Beast-kin flow is forced, and in humans it is negligible. Fairies magic touch is just there - whenever they use or expand their magic to an area (inc. telepathy) they feel - so both are entwined in what each does.
