Lecturer

(Mimi: Wow, Miss. You still make me write reports to you even though I'm employed as a KLO now)
(Lecturer: You know how we work in the Depths - you're KLO in order to find out what we want to know down here)
(Mimi: What if I decide to live up here forever?)
(Lecturer: Then instead of seeing my face sometimes, you'll just have to keep writing to me forever)
(Mimi: Wow... You must really like me Miss)
(Lecturer: Package it however you like. Seeing as you've finally allowed out of your room though, you can send me news. Or, just practice writing a report.)

A Lecturer of the Depths

As the Depths is its own city, there is a university of the Depths as well. And the highest ranking people of the university are the Lecturers. They not only depart knowledge into their students, they are obsessed with finding more. They select the best students to send out into the greater world of Turien and give them missions to find out about the other Races and their civilisations. The Lecturers keep in contact with the students they send off and then distill the knowledge into what is useful for the Depths to grow and stay hidden under the River Tam.
Now that the Knowledge Liason System is so large on the surface of Turien, students like me can get a job quickly that takes me all around Turien - and delve into the secrets of many others. I don't have to report every secret I find. For example, the The Bin Man's cleaner number 5 wishes he had a bigger butt to cushion his falls every time (he falls a lot) or that the secret ingredient to the Chillibean Spice is whale salt. But I am expected to report things like Turtle Island's Doorway to a pocket dimension is guarded by two Turtle Guardians and only can be accessed by those with certain Artifacts. As well as anything to do with artifacts.
Although Lecturers will guzzle down any knowledge they can get their hands on, even they sigh when they have to read 50 pages of all the different names I've found that the Creft Family Patch have received. But they still have to read them :P

(Lecturer: Maybe I should just ask for letters instead)
