Observation Log of KLO Mimi Lakes: Signal Towers

Praymonth the 7th, Year 54 of the Century of the Nymphs, 26th Cycle

They asked for Magenta to boost the signals of the Signal Towers of Mid City. I was asked to go with her, as part of the Search and Rescue Department to make sure she doesn't get kidnapped again. Also, MeiMei and I are to see if we can learn what to do so we can boost the Signal Towers in the Ocean. If we can do this, I'll get to see AB! And we can exchange numbers - we won't have to wait until we're both free for the face crystal chat. Although, mobile phones don't work underwater, and the crystals are on the same signal communication network, but he has a phone at The Point that he looks at periodically. So, we can leave messages in between face chats.

We went to the closest Signal Twer to the University first. Magenta took a bunch of time playing around with it all. She doesn't really have a process, just kind of does things. I don't know why she hasn't gone to see the Fairies again. They can probably help her. But then again, she can do magic things that I haven't seen other Fairies do. Anyways, she is trying to work out a process so that she can teach KLO-MeiMei and me.

The second Signal Tower we went to, Magenta tried to describe what she did. But after showing which wires were filled with processed Gilded Moss, she started moving things around and went off into a mutter. KLO-MeiMei heard more than I did, but at least there are ten more Towers in Mid City.

After the third Tower, Magenta just started inputting the process into her phone and then shared the files with us. We tried to do the 5th Tower ourselves, but Magenta had to help halfway through. The sixth one we nearly got, and the seventh one we did fine.

Three more Towers, and I'm so bored. Even though I can run inside the main section as water, there isn't much I can do apart from what we are told. There's just a lot of worse and funny shapes. There is a lot of Fairy and Mermaid magic that is imbued in the materials of the Signal Tower. Magenta says there is some Human magic too, but I don't see it. And no one else believes her. She showed me a picture she had coloured from her phone - but I couldn't take it in water form, so I just let her talk about it while I ate lunch.

It took three days to finish boosting all the Signal Towers in Mid City.

Finally, to the Ocean!

KLO-MeiMei: Which lunch? You had three. Every single day
Mimi: I get hungry easily.
KLO-MeiMei: I don't understand how you need to eat so much.
Mimi: Maybe I took the wrong charm from my mum.
KLO-MeiMei: Wouldn't you switch it out after the first day if that was the case?
Mimi: They all look the same. I thought I did switch them.
