Retter's childhood.
October 13th, 1718:
It was a dark, cloudy day, the moonlight wasn’t showing and not a star in the sky. Walking through the cold, dark streets was a cloaked woman, holding something in her arms. There she stood, in front of an orphanage, tears lightly streaming down her face. She quietly walked to the door and put down the basket she was holding, staring at it.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t want to do this, but I don’t have any other choice…” She said one last time before turning around and walking away. When she was out of sight, she burst out sobbing.
“I’m so sorry!” She cried repeatedly, walking further away. She reached her cottage, pulling down her hood to reveal long, beautiful, hair as red as roses. She got changed and looked at herself in the mirror. In that mirror was a beautiful fair-skinned lady with green eyes and red hair. Her name was Duchess Elise Roth. Now, it’s just Elise. She ran away from her life as a noble because she was pregnant and unmarried.
Meanwhile, Someone opened the front door to see the basket.
“What’s this?” The girl asked. She noticed a name tag on it.
“Retter?” The girl muttered. She picked up the basket, and the blankets inside it started squirming. The girl moved them out of the way, revealing a sleeping baby with black hair. The girl took him inside the orphanage and set him in the nursery with the other orphan babies.
Later. When the baby woke up, he had grey eyes, which was a little unusual, the people here were usually born with blue or brown eyes.
3 years later 1721
Retter walked into the main room, where everyone else was at the time. One of the orphans looked over and saw Retter had entered the room. She was about to say hello but was frozen in fear. She stared at Retter, who's eyes were now red, just this morning they were silver.
"D...De...." She pointed at Retter, stuttering.
"Are you okay?" One of the caregivers asked. She walked over to the girl and saw what she was so scared of.
"It can't be..." The caregiver gasped. Everyone else, now curious, looked at Retter and were shocked. Those blood red eyes, those were the same eyes that belonged to the shadowy monsters that destroyed half of the village a few years ago.
“He’s a demon!” One girl cried out in fear.
“What?” he muttered, backing away.
“Get him away!” Several other people started freaking out.
“No, go away!" A boy with spiky black hair and red eyes said, running away from a mob of angry people.
“I’m not a demon, I’m not!” He shouted. Retter tripped, tumbling down. At least he was away from the angry mob.
Elise was reading when she heard a loud noise and went outside to investigate.
"Who's there?" She asked. She looked and saw a young child with black hair on the ground. She walked towards him to check upon him.
"No, please don't hurt me!" He begged, covering his face with his arms.
"Oh no, child. Do not be afraid. I will not hurt you," Elise bent down to his height and gently put her hand on him. Retter uncovered his face to look at this kind lady. She didn't look like she would hurt him.
"Oh my. What happened to you?" She asked, slightly touching him.
"They think I'm a demon," He sadly ex
Years earlier, there was a war between Humans and what they called Dark beings. The Dark beings consisted of vampires but there were a few that weren’t vampires. Like Retter’s father.
One day a dark being fell in love with a human girl and had a child. They knew that the village couldn’t know about their relationship, so they went their separate ways and put their child in an orphanage. He had a single name tag on him: Retter. years later. Retter is shunned by the village, Because of his Blood-red eyes and obsidian black hair, people thought he was a demon.
There was one lady that took care of him, she had long wavy hair the same color as his eyes, with emerald green eyes.
“Why do they hate me?” He asked no one in particular, he sadly stared down at a river where his reflection was showing.
“They hate what they fear, but that has consequences,” The lady walked up, The moonlight shining on her.
“What do you mean?” Retter asked.
“When someone fears something, they hate it, and when they hate something, they will treat it badly, but, if the thing they fear grows to become stronger than them… you’ll understand when you’re older,” The lady said, smiling.
“It’s getting late, you should get some sleep,” She added.
“No, I have weird dreams…”
“Dreams?”
“Sometimes I have dreams I turned into a wolf and was imprisoned,” Retter explained.
“Don’t worry too much. I’m sure they’re just dreams,” she reassured, patting his back.
Meanwhile, April 14.
"She's so beautiful," Someone commented. The heir of the Lancelot knights and his wife, Nimue, gave birth to a baby girl. She had round yellow eyes, like her mother.
"Frieda..." Nimue sighed, staring at her bundle of joy.
