Now that Annaliese is born, Hannah is very abusive and negligent towards her. Only feeding her once a day and didn't bother naming her.

When Annaliese was born, Hannah put her in a wooden box in a closet and left her there in nothing but a diaper, because her crying was annoying and Hannah didn't love her. Soon after, Ludwig discovered her, but Hannah didn't know this. Hannah only fed Annaliese spoiled milk in the morning to get her to stop crying. Hannah never cleaned up Annaliese. As Annaliese got older, she was somewhat able to clean herself but Hannah fed her stale bread and spoiled pea soup made from peas, spoiled milk and cold broth.
