Day of the Golden Sun

As the second day of the Grand Festival of the Divine, this day is dedicated to She Who Was Second in Existence, Reina, Grand Goddess of the Sun. While the whole of the festival is a glorious five-day occurrence, today is especially important in The Exalted Imperium of Oriand.
The ruling empress of the Imperium is, and always has been, a Sun Elf. More than that, they have always been a Sun Elf blessed by Reina with the power of sorcery, a clear indication of the divine right to rule.
Thus, the Day of the Golden Sun is both a day of devout worship and a celebration of the majesty that is the Imperium and its guiding mistress. But aside from visiting temples, what else is there to do?
Even as a simple traveler, you could find food, drink, and friends with ease. The Sunlit Shields would be on full display as a show of the strength granted through worship. Roam the streets freely and mingle with all manner of being, for on this day even the haughtiest elf can't help but smile. Reina's message of love, life, and redemption are omnipresent on this day in the Imperial heartland.
...unless you live on the edge of the Imperium. War, famine, rebellion, and social rot have taken their toll over the centuries. For folks like these, a small nod to the local shrine is all the recognition this day gets before it's back to fields once more.
