Mechanics & Inner Workings

The Amulet of Existence is a magical item specifically meant for servants to continue living after their master's death. Because servants bridge the area between the living and the spiritual world, their ability to exist is due to the combination of their master(s) supplying magical energy to them and/or the Holy Grail allowing their physical existence. The former source is generally more important; however, most masters are generally mortal and will die one way or another.
When a servant attunes themselves to this amulet, they're able to continue living as if their master never died. They do, however, have a few limitations. Their ability to use their Noble Phantasm is greatly limited in use and they can no-longer de-materialize.
This item is completely magical, though the process of what needs to be done to create such an item is extremely unknown. The original creation process is assumed to be lost to the annals of history.

Significance

Due to this amulet's artifact-level of rarity, there's probably less than 10 of these items across the world. For the amulets that are possessed and used by the few lucky individuals, it can be seen as the closest thing one can get to immortality.

Very Rare Requires Attunement

The Amulet of Existence is an engraved amulet that's attached to a lanyard. The amulet must be attuned to a servant. Upon attunement, the servant is granted a form of near immortality. While they're still under the control of their master, nothing actually happens. However, once the pact is broken or if the master dies, the amulet's full abilities take into effect.

• The servant can continue to exist as long as the amulet is within 5ft of them. The amulet provides a steady supply of magical energy to the servant.
• The servant's Noble Phantasm is limited to only one use every 5 days with no other slot-based enhancements available.
• The amulet is treated to have a spellcasting ability score of 16 (+3). This modifier is what determines the strength and usability of all the servant's abilities (excluding NP)

If the servant's HP is dropped to 0, the amulet's attunement can be forcibly revoked by removing the amulet further than 5ft for an hour.
