Dante's Tower of the Cavern

MAJOR SPOILER WARNING

Creation of the Tower

When Edmonde Dantes, or the Count of Monte Cristo, survived through a Holy Grail War, he was granted the opportunity to gain a wish. His wish was influenced by his sense of vengeance and vigilantism that he felt throughout all the war. Through means that are still not fully understood, he managed to gain access to the "true wish" that the Holy Grail was able to grant and wished for a bastion where he could oversee and "invite" his adversaries to in order to judge them for their crimes against himself. Whether it was due to a monkey-pawed Grail or the intoxication of power, Edmonde Dantes would soon end up going from a rightfully vengeful individual to a man hellbent on "judging" anyone that remotely went against him by magically warping them into his massive flying fortress.

Floor Plan/Architecture

Dante's Tower, also known as the Gothic Tower, is divided into several floors. Each floor, however, is not like a floor of a castle or mansion. Rather, each floor of the tower is pretty much a massive stretch of land that does not abide by physical boundaries or logic. When one ascends up to another floor, the new destination will have almost zero connection or similarities to any other floor. The following are the floors found within the tower.
  • Lobby/Ground Floor: This is the first floor that all individuals start at. The ground floor of the tower is run by an individual named Tomm. The floor is one of the actually room-like floors, containing a large table, couches, and some decorations like rugs and banners. The side of the room leads to a kitchen area where refreshments are made. At the end of the room is a set of double doors that are usually locked. Those doors are what leads people to the next floor.
  • First Floor: The first true floor of Dante's Tower takes the form of a large city metropolis. The city is perpetually nighttime with a crescent moon in the skies. Many areas of the city are covered in this light mist and the streets are illuminated with lanterns that give off a strange green light. Thousands of individuals live in this floor and are supposedly considered by Dantes to be "low priority," hence why they are still at the bottom of the tower. Their judgement will come at a much later time. However, this floor's metropolis isn't exactly safe. The streets are almost always being watched, either by mechanical crows with spotlights for heads, or by the strange policemen with fully bandaged faces and garbled speech patterns. If you step outside your building for any reason, watch what you do and say, as there's always something or someone listening in to rat you out.
  • Second Floor: The second floor is completely different from the rest of the other floors, as this one appears to be one massive ocean. When entering from the first floor's staircase, people will find themselves on a deserted islet. Within the ocean that is no doubt at least 1/2 a mile deep are creatures of terrifying proportions and ferocity. The handful of people that somehow live here dwell on ships and boats. They capture fish and eat whatever vegetation exists on the spread-out islands.
  • Third Floor: The third floor is when the creatures of the tower really start to become genuinely terrifying and dangerous. Zombie-like creatures stumble across this strange countryside-looking floor. Only small hamlets can be found, although none are really all that friendly. It's rumored that creatures that live here have committed rather egregious crimes against Dantes, thus turning them into the disgusting creatures that are fated to blindly wander and attack in this floor.
  • Fourth Floor: The fourth floor is similar to the first floor in that it appears to be a metropolis. However, the people that live here all have some sort of strange feature to them that many people can't seem to point out. No matter the sophisticated dress or mannerisms, these residents have a strange aura that may only terrify the most perceptive of folks. This floor is patrolled by the mysterious police force and another particularly dangerous individual. Some say that once you're on his hit list, the only thing you can even try to do is run for your life.
  • Fifth Floor Atrium: The final floor of the tower takes the form of a king's throne and presence chambers. Edmonde Dantes himself can be found here, bringing judgement to all those that he deems to have wronged him. The atrium is also where the primary source of the tower itself can be found.
