Grail Servant

Not to be confused with a summoner servant, grail servants, also known as pseudo or demi-servants, are a unique set of individuals that have been blessed by the Holy Grail to be given a certain set of powers after forming a pact with another individual.   See here for the list of attributes that grail servants have.

Creation

A grail servant is formed during the selection process of an upcoming Holy Grail War. To become a grail servant, the individual must first possess great skills in either martial or arcane power. They must also form an agreement with another person that possesses a similar amount of power but must also possess a very strong will or sense of determination. Once these two individuals go through the analysis ritual and pass it, the one that agrees to become the grail servant receives a large amount of magical energy provided both by their grail summoner and by the Holy Grail itself. Not only that, but a lucky handful may actually have the soul of a historical or legendary figure enter and fuse themselves with the servant's own soul. The grail summoner also gains a set of Command Seals that they use on their newly formed servant.

Powers

Grail servants gain some servant-like powers but for the most part, they still mostly maintain their own skills and abilities. However, particularly powerful grail servants, such as those with exceptional skills or those that have the soul of a true servant fused into them, do have the ability to perform the ultimate move of the Noble Phantasm. These Noble Phantasms are slightly less powerful and varied when compared to a true servant's Noble Phantasm, but when used in the right moment, they can be extremely useful. In general, a pseudo-servant is much stronger than the average warrior, but they are not as powerful as a true servant.

Master and Pseudo-Servant

Grail servants are also placed under similar restrictions like true servants. When a person becomes a grail servant, a good chunk of their internal energy is replaced with magical energy. If their master is severely weakened, they in turn will also begin to feel weak. Should their master end up dying, the grail servant will quickly begin to lose power and eventually revert back to a normal person. This process of reversion due to a master's death also leads to some very unpleasant consequences such as major weakness of the body for several days and even comatose.
