Nation of Lekroné (leh-kruh-NAY)
Culture
Lekronese culture mainly revolves around class, refinement, and discipline. This is reflected in their day-to-day activity; from the tools they use to the way they cook to even the way on how they talk. Even the rural-living famers and peasants are expected to keep up some amount of refinement despite their low class.
History
The Nation of Lekroné was founded in the year 102 from a group of aristocratic individuals. These individuals felt as if their homes had lost their classy aspects. So, they began to construct and finance a brand-new nation that would be dedicated to etiquette, class, and the finer things in life. The capital city of Noirveau was fully built in 102, marking the establishment of the nation's beginnings. Over the course of many years, more and more people began to flock into the country, hoping to live a better life.
Lekroné's relative peace was unfortunately shaken up in the year 400 when it was inducted into the 2nd Holy Grail War. Surprisingly, they managed to defeat Bukatelia, however, their Grail Warriors were intercepted by an international pirate gang, which caused them to lose the last remaining warriors that they had. The country was forced to pay a heavy tribute to Seredena Nation, the ultimate winner of that war.
Even more unfortunately, Lekroné was inducted into the Holy Grail War once again in the year 450. This war wasn't really any different from the previous one, as Lekroné could not hold up against the sheer power of the outside forces and they ended up suffering a defeat earlier than the previous. Northern Lekroné has been annexed by Haroshika ever since.
Demography and Population
The country's population is pretty evenly spread out. Noirveau, despite being the capital city, actually has quite a low population within it. Many of the citizens live within smaller towns and villages.
Military
Lekroné's military is relatively below-average. The militaries themselves don't get as much funding as some other countries' do, mainly because fighting and nationalism is not on the main agenda of the country. If anything, warfare of any kind is seen as uncouth and low-class. This lack of military investment was one of the reasons as to why Lekroné lost in the two Grail Wars that they were in. Their army and defense force combined only have a few thousand people.
Foreign Relations
While Lekroné's foreign relations are relatively stable for the most part, they have major conflicts with the Kingdom of Haroshika. Haroshika overtook the northern half of Lekroné's region full of precious metals. Lekroné does maintain decent relations with Bukatelia, Gillsburg, and Kalvarous, and steady trade is done between them.
Agriculture & Industry
Agriculture plays a significant role in Lekronese society. Well over half the population does farm work of some kind. What's unique about Lekronese agriculture is the sheer amount of variety in the crops. Many forms of grains, vegetables, and fruits are grown throughout the country's farming towns. Many of these are then shipped to the capital of Noirveau. Other surpluses are either kept within towns and villages or are exported out.
