Ring of the Winter King

A beautiful ring made of what appears to be Sky-Iron, with an unusual pale blue gem seated in its centre.

Must be attuned by an arcane spell caster (bard, sorcerer, warlock or wizard).

This ring was created by a powerful entity called the Winter King. It was used as a repository for his power and, after the death of the original Winter King, has been possessed by many who have attempted to claim his mantle.
Once per week, the ring bearer can draw upon the strength of the ring. They immediately recover up to three 1st level spell slots and two 2nd level spell slots. They then double the amount of spell slots they have, that have not been already been used. These additional spell slots dissipate on a short or long rest. After casting identify on this ring, you learn the above information but feel as though some information regarding the ring has been obscured from you by a force within the ring.
