Session 17

General Summary

Party says goodbye to the Opals. Drakestone is open for business once more. Remainder of party heads toward Griff's Redoubt, are informed that someone else has taken the Thradcoed job but that the party can catch up to them if they're quick. Down the road, the party find a knight in combat with 5 skeletal undead. The party help to dispatch them and are introduced to Warden Carter Atercyne, a member of the Wardens of Anu. He has come east on a mission from the High Council to find a number of artefacts that have been stolen from the Vault of Aeons. He's looking for some crystal spheres called "Shunte Loci" or "Palantír" that can lure creatures from the Tir na Nog into the Prime Material. He stopped at Drakestone hoping to find Felix Bermont, as a fellow member of the Wardens, to help him recover the artefacts before the Imperium could. Felix agreed to help and told Atercyne that the party could be trusted. 

The party continue down the road to the ruins of Thradcoed where they find a large concentration of undead, many of whom appear to be farming. Some in the party see undead walking toward them and attack, starting a large fight that went on for a while before a voice called out over the ruins of the village saying "Stop! Stop the attack!" in a panicked voice. The undead ceased attacking, as did the party, and the session ended with the party attempting to make contact with the voice.
