Arcanite

Arcanite, as far as humanity knows, raw magic crystallized into a physical mass that presents itself as an orange crystal. ANYTHING is possible with sufficient amounts of Arcanite, its power literally manifested by the user willing it to be. Some people with particularly strong wills can "program" these stones in a way, embedding a predetermined effect that fires off on a more physical mechanism like being heated or struck. It is this material that has allowed humanity to progress technologically at a rate not seen before in previous times.
