Landing Day
History
Landing Day celebrates the founding of Neverwinter, when the exile ships first landed onto New Albion.
Execution
There are usually three important aspects to the festival:
The Burning of Irish baked potatoes representing the oppression under Irish rule
The re-enactment of the landing
In more recent festivals, a representation of Modra that was added by the dragon herself. It was kept, but is now more of a symbol of triumph than humiliation.
