Session 22: Leaving Tutorial Island Report

General Summary

In the end, Not everything can last. The party decided to stay one more day in Neverwinter getting their business in order before sailing off. Reza and Catalina spent most of their day in their rooms, working on their various projects (although Catalina was forthcoming that it was to copy a new spell into her ritualbook). Gnorm spent his time duping citizens into betting gold they'd never win using his new ring, but otherwise did not much else. Erland attempted to make contact with one of his fellow lords, Daedheah Lush, having located his manor but apparently could not meet him due to a lack of an appointment. The next day, they went to their ship, and got a rundown by the officer now under their employment: Gavin Rowntree. He explained that the ship already had food supplies from the previous occupants, the crew provided by the crown would man all positions on the ship, the only thing that was actually required was naming officers. Once the man gave them a run down of the positions and assigned them: they went off to sail. The first day of sailing resulted in saving a bosun from a sunk ship that was being harassed by a shark. Rescuing him revealed that their ship was sunk by a kobold colony: specifically one that procured a galleon and spends most of its time pirating unprepared ships. The second day, the party dealt with their first ship crisis, a simple one involving a stolen heirloom. In the end, turned out to be misplaced but did help familiarize the party with the duties of officers. They then arrived at Saltrings, where they were greeted by the captains of the Marines: Tom and Will Stoutly. They for the most part processed them and pointed them to the direction of Winston. Winston in particular was a retired adventurer turned merchant that now sells adventuring supplies and information. The party was given a map, and they also purchased all the information they would of the surrounding wilderness.
